seriously. be honest. tell me, please!
this is what i think guys want:
1. sex. they want lots of sex. multiple times a day is preferable, but will settle for daily.
2. looks. they want a pretty girl. some things are standard, but the requirements can vary from man to man.
2a. body. they dont want a twig or an extrememly fat girl. there are exceptions to this of course. i know of some men who really like skinny, skinny girls and there are men who like girls with some junk in the trunk.
3. maternal instinct. they want someone who can be a good mother/stepmother/grandmother
4. homemaker. they want a girl with homemaking skills. cook, clean, maybe sew. guys want a girl who will feather the nest and make a house a home.
5. admiration and respect. men like to be praised. they want to know their girl thinks they are the best. they need to hear it a lot. they are the toughest, strongest, smartest, sexiest...you know the drill.
mr jack mormon used to quote chris rock: " a man wants only 3 things. food, sex, and silence."
so tell me. am i even close? i really want to hear what you guys have to say.
p.s. i would hope temple worthy and a testimony would be on the list, but it really doesnt seem to matter all that much to the men in my own dating experience and what i see of others experiences.
40, single, and mormon, are you KIDDING me?

confusion
mr jack mormon said something to me the last time he petitioned me for some pre marital shenanigans that i found very curious indeed. "you sure do love yourself, dont you?" is the comment he made to me. initially, i took it as the insulting barb he intended it to be, but after about two seconds of being pissed off, i replied, "how is it that you confuse self respect with conceit and self importance?" he had no reply, of course. he generally doesnt when i make a valid point that is contrary to his. i was just saying "no." not "hell no, you heathen, unscrupulous pig! i am far too good for you. i am pure and you are just filth." i dont even think that. i think some of the points he makes about premarital sex are valid. maybe even smart. if you are only considering the secular aspects of his argument. while i see some of his points, they are trumped by the spiritual. he just doesnt get it. i take that back. he does. he gets it just fine, he just rejects it and by doing so, rejects me. he disagrees with me-says i am rejecting him. sigh.

head games
i HATE head games. can i play them? yes i can...VERY WELL, but i choose not too. sometimes i really want to screw with mr jack mormons head just to get even for all of his crap, but that wouldnt be very mature OR very Christ-like would it? might even take away from my platform of choosing abstinence because i think its the RIGHTEOUS thing to do. still....it could be a lot of fun. i was thinking of playing an april fools joke on him yesterday, but again thought better of it. does that make me boring? or just a grown up? sigh.

april fool
went out to lunch with an old friend today and when she asked me what was new, i said "nothing". then she asked if i had heard from mr jack mormon. that WAS new. well...old, but new-you know, hearing from him just the other day after months of silence. i recapped his usual schtick "can we please have sex?", etc and when she joked, "so did you go for it this time?", i looked her right in the eye and said "yep."
we have been friends since high school. we dont have the same standards, but she has always supported mine. i didnt judge her when she was having all kinds of premarital sex and she defended me when i was teased for being a prude. needless to say, her jaw dropped, but there was a definite gleam in her eye. shes been married over 20 years and the za za zoom has definitely left their bedroom. she was hoping for some juicy details. i smiled big and said APRIL FOOLS!!

lesser of the two evils.
sooooooooooo. been playing with the idea of of breaking the dating hiatus, but not sure how to do it. i think calling mr jack mormon is just a bad idea all around, but that would be a gimme. creating a profile on an lds dating site seems like an effort in futility, BUT based on previous experience i could probably get "out there" pretty quick. the other option is a sa activity. bear with me as i retch. ok, we all know it wouldnt be THAT bad, but maybe if i was able to muster up a pioneer,can-do attitude it would be a great experience. yeah right. sorry. forgot about the can do attitude. funny enough, an old friend(i have to write a post about her,she did some crazy stuff, but seems happy now) that got married about a year ago asked me to meet her at a sa dance because her husband is playing the event. to me, this has trouble written all over it. even though i named three "evils", i am taking mr jack mormon out of the running and boiling it down to either going to the dance or creating the profile. not that either would be a means to an end, just thinking its time to do something. any thoughts? suggestions? opinions?
