i hate the bachelor

i do NOT watch that ridiculous show, but i tivo bonnie hunt and they talk about it every week. they even show clips. its so stupid. i cannot believe that women subject themselves to this. i guess money could be a huge motivator, but STILL. does anyone really believe that a true and lasting love can be developed this way? i googled it and one couple from 12 seasons(is this show on 2 times a year or something?)has actually gotten married. sheesh!

    I never watch that show -- never have -- but I love Bonnie, and watch her every time (DVR is my friend). I'm going to miss her show after May.

    Love Bonnie. Hate the bachelor. Although I will admit I have loved to hate it and watched a season of the bachelorette once. It was embarrassing for poor Jillian. And embarrassing that I will admit it in writing.

    it all seems so embarrassing to me. basically there are a bunch of women competing for a man and all these contrived situations. the roses at the end is the final "gag me" moment. we all have our guilty pleasures. dont be ashamed. :)

    At least its not that Frank the Entertainer love-search show. It's even more demeaning. I accidentally surfed into it, and wondered. What a waste of 20 minutes(I missed the first half of it, and wish I'd missed the rest). I'm sure some of those girls are nice people, but who wants to get on national tv, act like trash, all for some guy who is living in his mother's basement? The bachelor is better. At least he is gainfully employee, and has his own home. Both shows are thinly veiled prostitution(as these women are selling themselves for "Mr. Right"), all wrapped up in the paper of entertainment. I save my reality tv guilty pleasure for the cooking channel shows.

    i havent heard of this frank guy. sounds like a train wreck!i think you are right about the thinly veiled prostitution. its insane! bonnie was talking about how one girl was telling him that she loved him. LOVE?! are you kidding me? how can genuine love grow in an environment like that? soooooo stupid!

    it's my dirty little secret. I know it's ridculous. I don't think they'd find love... just infactuation and it gives someone a chance to be the ultimate "player." I know I'm stupid and I hate to admit it... but I watch it.

    you definitely arent alone! i just cant bear to look at it. i get embarrassed when i watch the clips every week on bonnie. the whole drama where the one girl was falling down and crying in the middle of the hallway was just too much! she couldnt make it to her room and throw herself on the bed? come on now!
