You're saying that typos and immediate attempts at intimacy and sex are not attractive? Who knew?

  3. That is seriously creepy when he says his spirit tells him so. Is that the spirit of attraction to the opposite sex he's talking about?

  4. It's like nails on a chalkboard for me. I've met people whom I've really gotten along with, then they send me text messages in thin writing style and I can't talk to them anymore.

  5. that is how all of my communications on LDS websites are. It's ridiculous

Is a decent command of English language writing skills a requirement of yours? If so, you should post it in your profile. You should say "I am very turned off by people that are unable to write complete sentences or that misspell common and simple words." I have a couple of friends from high school that cannot write a complete sentence to save their life but they are decent people. Ha ha, then again, I wouldn't marry them.

  7. i think this goes beyond a "decent" command. lets clean it up a little to see how it would look:
    Hello Sweetie,
marvelous is what i would call your profile, you are looking so sweet and i must say you are impressive because you look so beautiful...i would love to be close to you..you are the kind of person i would love to be with and get to know you better because my spirit tells me So...my im is xxxx yahoo i would Love to chat with you and get to no you more and more..

ok-so i cleaned up the spelling and some of the grammar and a little punctuation, but still the whole "spirit" of this email is kind of creepy.
as we all know, i frequently ignore basic capitalization and punctuation rules, so i dont ding too heavy for that or for spelling. there are brilliant people who are horrible spellers. i dont judge for that. it just seems to me that this guy(50 years old,i think)is trying to be all gangsta or something and his picture reflects someone that the nerdiest cpa would scoff at-he looks that nerdy(not that there is anything wrong with nerdy, i am just saying)
this is the first time i have ever gotten an email like this-i dont know how midwaydancer shuffles through them all. it IS ridiculous.
ps- how does he KNOW he wants to be close to me? i just dont get it. what he means(in my opinion)is that he thought i was pretty and would like a ncmo. sigh.

  8. Not only is it horribly spelled and creepy, it could easily be one of those copy-and-paste messages: he writes one and sends it to all the girls he's interested in. So tacky.

  9. seriously? people do that? just copy and paste a message and send it to multiple people? why am i shocked by this?

  10. I don't have positive proof, but for the few months that I was on LDSMingle, I got several messages. Some were directed towards me in particular: they related to something I'd said in my profile. Others were trying to be funny/clever/smooth with these long blurbs they sent, but it was obvious that they could have sent that same message to anybody. So I suspect copy-paste. I could be wrong...but I'm not.
